Peter Stephan (administrative officer)
Peter Stephan (* 1946 ) is a German politician ( CDU ).
Life and politics
Stephan, born in Schleiz in 1946 , studied mathematics and physics in Leipzig . He worked as a teacher until 1990. From 1992 to 1994 he was district administrator in the former Schleiz district and from 1994 to 2000 he was district administrator in the Saale-Orla district . He did not run for the district election in May 2000. In 2000 he was appointed President of the Thuringian State Administration Office . On July 31, 2012, Stephan gave up his post as President of the Thuringian State Administration Office and was retired.
