Peter Strittmatter is a former German skeleton athlete .

Peter Strittmatter was one of the most successful German skeleton pilots in the mid-1980s. In 1985 he placed second at the German Championships in Königssee between Franz Kleber and Hans Kindl . A year later he won the title in front of these two in the same place. In 1987 he was third in the championships behind Kleber and Richard Baumann . Strittmatter won the title at the Bavarian Championships in 1986.
