Peter Sykes (director)

Peter Sykes (born June 17, 1939 in Melbourne , † March 1, 2006 ) was an Australian director .

Sykes moved to London in 1963 , where he began training with the BBC . He then made a few documentaries.

In 1968 he took over the direction of the feature film The Committee . With a recommendation from the screenwriter Christopher Wicking , he was given the opportunity to direct the hammer film Demons of the Soul . Sykes subsequently directed other horror films such as The House in Nightmare Park and The Bride of Satan .
