Peter Takaaki Hirayama ( Japanese ペ ト ロ 平 山 高明 , Petoro Hirayama Takaaki ; born March 31, 1924 in Seoul ) is former Bishop of Ōita .

Life

Peter Takaaki Hirayama was ordained a priest on March 19, 1957 .

Paul VI appointed him on November 15, 1969 bishop of Ōita . The Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Japan Bruno Wüstenberg consecrated him on January 25 of the next year as bishop; Co- consecrators were Peter Saburō Hirata PSS , Bishop of Fukuoka , and Dominic Senyemon Fukahori , Bishop Emeritus of Fukuoka .

On May 10, 2000, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
