Peter Thalheimer

Peter Thalheimer (born May 5, 1946 in Stuttgart ) is a German flautist , musicologist and professor emeritus.

Life

Peter Thalheimer studied recorder , flute and school music at the Stuttgart University of Music . He received his doctorate from the University of Tübingen , completing his musicological studies. From 1978 to 2015 he taught in Nuremberg , first at the Meistersinger Conservatory, and later as a professor for historical performance practice and recorder / transverse flute at the newly established University of Music .

Act

Peter Thalheimer is a lecturer in many countries of Europe and in the United States operates. He is the author of numerous sheet music editions as well as publications on performance practice, instrument science and woodwind methodology. Numerous CD recordings and publications complete his work. He has been a member of the Tibia editorial board since 2005 and has been a member of the board of the European Recorder Teachers Association (ERTA) since 2016 .
