Peter Weber (politician, 1901)

Peter Weber (born June 7, 1901 in Weierweiler ; † March 12, 1965 ) was a German politician of the DPS .

Life

Weber attended elementary school in Weierweiler and the agricultural school in Saarburg . He acquired knowledge and skills for his later profession in the Münsterland. After that he was an independent manager at Hofgut Imsbach until 1933 and then ran his own farm in Nunkirchen . On January 1, 1940, he was accepted into the NSDAP ( membership number 7,390,307).

As a farmer, Weber campaigned for the maintenance and expansion of agriculture in the Saarland and belonged to the Saar Farmers' Association, of which he was district chairman from 1949. In 1956 he became managing director of the farmers' association. In the same year he joined the Democratic Party of Saar, two years later he was elected district chairman of the DPS in the district of Wadern . On December 4, 1960 he was elected to the Saarland Landtag , to which he belonged until his death. There he sat on the technical committee for food, agriculture and hunting as well as on the committee for public works and reconstruction. In 1962 he founded the Hochwald riding club, of which he was first chairman from 1962 until his death.
