Peter Woydt

Peter Woydt (born September 5, 1941 , † June 22, 1997 in Berlin ) was a German sports journalist .

After studying to be a teacher, Woydt started working for German television in 1966 and was an expert in cycling and speed skating . Since 1974 he has reported seventeen times from the International Peace Tour .

After reunification, he switched to Eurosport, which went on the air in 1989, and commented on cycling races and other things. a. Athletics and volleyball. He accompanied the Tour de France several times together with the former cyclist Rudi Altig . He died of stomach cancer in 1997 at the age of 55 .
