Peter Zeis (born May 13, 1989 in Bamberg ) is a German basketball player . From 2011 he played at the BBC Bayreuth in the top German division ( basketball Bundesliga ). In the winter semester 2010/2011 he began to study economics and sport for teaching at the University of Bayreuth . He is the son of Wolfgang Zeis .
After the end of the 2014/2015 season, he announced that he would initially withdraw from professional competitive sports and concentrate on his studies. He took a break from basketball and also spent time in New Zealand. In summer 2017 he joined the regional league team TSV Oberhaching-Deisenhofen . In the 2018/19 game year he returned to the VfL Treuchtlingen team (also regional league) and returned to Oberhaching-Deisenhofen (meanwhile promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga ProB ) in summer 2019 .
