Peter Zimmermann (* 1961 in Villach , Carinthia / Austria ) is an Austrian writer and journalist.

Peter Zimmermann studied theater studies and German at the University of Vienna . He worked on various stages in Vienna , a. a. at the Burgtheater , at the Theater in der Josefstadt and at the Theater der Jugend . Since 1988 he has been writing for various newspapers and since 1989 he has worked as a culture editor and presenter for several series at ORF . Zimmermann's novels revolve around obscure criminal cases and mostly deal with the depths of the human psyche. Zimmermann lives and works in Vienna.
