Peter Zwanziger

Peter Zwanziger (born May 30, 1977 in Judenburg ) is an Austrian politician ( FPÖ / BZÖ / FPK ) and contract employee . From 2009 to 2011 he was a member of the Austrian Federal Council and from 2011 to 2013 a member of the Carinthian state parliament .

education and profession

Zwanziger attended primary school in Unzmarkt from 1983 to 1987 and then switched to secondary school in Judenburg from 1987 to 1991. He then completed the sports branch at BORG Eisenerz from 1991 to 1992 , but then dropped out of school and learned the profession of dental technician between 1993 and 1996. From 1996 to 2000 he worked in the family business and was an employee in the dental technology laboratory Zwanziger. In addition, he was entrusted with the management and collaboration of the wood cutting company Zwanziger. In 2000, Zwanziger joined the city of Klagenfurt, initially working as a contract employee in the field of culture. Zwanziger has been the market coordinator and event coordinator for the state capital Klagenfurt since February 2016.

Politics and functions

Zwanziger began his political career in the Ring of Liberal Youth (RfJ), where he held the position of RfJ chairman in the Judenburg district from 1994 to 1997 . In addition, during this time he was State Youth Representative Styria of the Ring of Liberal Youth. In 2006, Zwanziger became local party chairman of the BZÖ in Klagenfurt-Wölfnitz, and since 2007 he has also been a staff representative at the Klagenfurt am Wörthersee magistrate. He ran for the BZÖ in the National Council election in 2008 and in the Carinthian state election in 2009 and subsequently became a member of the Federal Council on October 7, 2009. He was a member of the Federal Council until April 13, 2011, where he resigned from the parliamentary club of the BZÖ in 2010 and became a member of the Freedom Parliamentary Club on November 23, 2010 and a member of the FPÖ parliamentary group on November 30, 2010. On April 14, 2011, Peter Zwanziger was sworn in as a member of the Carinthian state parliament, where he assumed the original mandate of Gerald Grebenjak and represented the Freedom Party in Carinthia (FPK) in the state parliament .

In 2013, Zwanziger founded the Independent Personnel Representatives in the Klagenfurt City Administration.

In the 2015 municipal council elections, Zwanziger competed with his list “The Independents”.

Private

Zwanziger is married to a secondary school teacher and has four children.
