Petko Jordanow Christow OFMConv (also written Petko Yordanov Hristov , Bulgarian Петко Йорданов Христов ; born October 19, 1950 in Waltschewo ) is Bishop of Nicopolis .

Life

Petko Christow joined the religious order of the Minorites and was ordained a priest on December 15, 1985 . John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Nicopolis on October 18, 1994 .

The Pope consecrated him bishop on January 6 of the following year ; Co- consecrators were Giovanni Battista Re , substitute for the State Secretariat , and Jorge María Mejía , secretary of the Congregation for Bishops .
