Petnjica ( Montenegrin - Cyrillic Петњица ) is a city in Montenegro , Sandžak and the center of the municipality of the same name . In 2011, the population was 565. On May 28, 2013, Petnjica received the status of a municipality, which it held from 1945 to 1957, before the settlement became part of the Berane municipality . The majority of the population defines themselves as Bosniaks , the rest mostly as Muslims (nationality).
