The municipality of Petnjica ( Montenegrin Општина Петњица Opština Petnjica ) is a municipality in Montenegro with the administrative seat in Petnjica .

The community was founded in 2013 from parts of the Berane community, which are mostly inhabited by Bosniaks .

Demographics

At the last census in 2011, the community had not yet been established. Applying today's territorial breakdown results in a population of 6,686, of which 4,551 are Bosniaks (83.0%), 690 ethnic Muslims (12.6%), 86 Serbs (1.6%) and 67 Montenegrins (1.2%) .
