Petr Šlegr

Petr Šlégr (* 8. July 1977 in Kladno ) worked in the years 2007 - 2009 as a Czech deputy minister of transport and was the chairman of the Steering Committee of the Czech Railways . Under him the technical project of the law on public transport was prepared, which included among other things the instrument of transport planning for the connection of local, regional and national transport. He also prepared the construction concept for the high-speed and high-speed railways in the Czech Republic and, in cooperation with the FRG , he began to prepare the modern rail link between Prague , Dresden and Munich .

Šlegr was involved in the Green Party , above all as chairman of the transport committee and in the party's council. He increasingly criticized the party. He resigned from the party in 2009 and has been without political affiliation ever since.

After leaving the Ministry of Transport in 2009, he founded and led an NGO CEDOP (the Center for Effective Transport). In addition to commenting on the current situation in the field of transport, he has participated in the publication of two publications on railways and in the organization of several conferences.
