Petr Křivánek (born March 18, 1970 in Brno ) is a former Czech football player .

Career

Petr Křivánek started playing football at the age of nine at Zbrojovka Brno . At 19 he went to Žatec to do his two years of military service with the local army sports club . In 1991 the defender returned to Brno and was supposed to play for 14 years for the club, which was renamed first in Boby Brno, later in Stavo Artikel Brno and finally in 1. FC Brno.

In the 1990/91 season Křivánek came to five games, the team was relegated, but managed to get promoted again immediately. 1992/93 played the 1.92 meter tall Křivánek only twelve games, only from the following season he was part of the regular formation. Křivánek, technically rather weak, convinced in the next few years mainly through his commitment and combat strength. He hardly missed a league game, the reward for this was not only the captain's armband in Brno, but also the 90-minute commitment in the Czech national team on September 4, 1996 in the 2-1 win against Iceland in Jablonec .

In 1997 Křivánek had an offer from Belgium, but since he had recently extended his contract in Brno, the transfer did not materialize. Until the winter break of 2004/05, Křivánek played regularly in the Brno defensive line-up, even if he made more and more mistakes due to slowing pace. In early 2005, 1. FC Brno signed Jiři Kotrba as a new coach, who Křivánek no longer set up.

In the summer of 2005, Petr Křivánek, who played 317 first division games, moved to SC Union in Ardagger , Lower Austria , where he let his career end.
