Petr Mikolanda (born September 12, 1984 in Prague ) is a former Czech football player and today's coach .
Career
Petr Mikolanda began playing football at the age of five for the small Prague club Sokol Nebušice , after two years he moved to Motorlet Prague . In the 2002/03 season he was loaned to Slavia Prague . In the summer of 2003, the striker moved to Viktoria Žižkov , where he made the jump to the first team. In his first season Mikolanda made 13 games without scoring a goal, Žižkov was relegated from the 1st division. 2004/05 he got 13 goals in 26 games, whereupon the English first division side West Ham United became aware of him and invited the attacker to tests, at the successful end of which Mikolanda signed a one-year contract.
However, he could not prevail against the strong competition in the storm and was loaned in September 2005 for a month to the fourth division Northampton Town . During the season it was awarded to Swindon Town and Rushden & Diamonds . In the summer of 2006 he moved back to the Czech Republic for FK Mladá Boleslav .
In June 2007, doctors diagnosed Mikolanda with kidney failure , and the striker's professional career was over. In 2015 he celebrated his comeback in the seventh-class Divize C at FK Admira Praha , where he acts as a standby professional.
