Petra Jäschke (born April 29, 1960 in Bremerhaven ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 2015 to 2019 she was a member of the Bremen Parliament as a replacement for Manuela Mahnke .

biography

Family, education and work

Jäschke has worked as an educator / social pedagogue at the Bremen vocational training center in Bremen Horn-Lehe , at the boarding school of the Seeparkschule Wesermünde in Debstedt and at the Elbe-Weser workshops in Bremerhaven . Since 1995 she has been a teacher in the field of perception and development promotion at a secondary school in Bremerhaven. Since 2007 she has also been a member of the staff council for schools in Bremerhaven.

Jäschke is divorced and has two children.

politics

Jäschke joined the SPD in 1994. She is the chairwoman of the local SPD association in Geestemünde -Grünhöfe, a member of the board of directors in the Geestemünde local association, in the working group of social democratic women of the SPD in Bremerhaven and in the SPD working group Selbst Aktiv in Bremerhaven.

For the 2015 citizenship election , she stood in Bremerhaven on the 6th list of her party. At first she missed the entry into the citizenship, after Manuela Mahnke's resignation on October 21, 2015, she moved into the Bremen state parliament as a successor. On December 21, 2015, the electoral examination court ruled that the AfD in Bremerhaven had just skipped the five percent hurdle and awarded Jäschke's mandate to Thomas Jürgewitz (AfD). On September 13, 2016, the Bremen State Court reversed this decision, claiming that the AfD was missing 16 votes to move into parliament. Since then, Jäschke has been a member of the citizenry again. She is a member of the Committee on Petitions, the Committee on Equality for Women and the Committee on Federal and European Affairs. She is also a deputy member of the Performa Nord works committee, the state youth welfare committee and the legal committee.
