Petra Willim
Petra Willim (* 1957 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German literary scholar and translator .
Life
Petra Willim received her doctorate in 1995 from the University of Frankfurt am Main with a thesis on the female figures of Goethe . Today she lives as a translator in Frankfurt am Main and works as a high school teacher at the Lichtenberg-Oberstufengymnasium in Bruchköbel .
Petra Willim mainly translates non-fiction books from French . She is a member of the Association of German-Language Translators of Literary and Scientific Works .
In 2005, she was honored for her translation of Jean-Paul Sartre - Biography of Bernard-Henri Lévy with Christoph Martin Wieland Translation Prize awarded.
