Petra van Laak

Petra van Laak (born July 15, 1966 in Münster ) is a German author , speaker and entrepreneur .

Life

Petra van Laak spent part of her childhood in Nigeria , where her parents worked as development workers. She studied art history in Münster and Berlin and, after completing her master's degree in 1990, worked in various positions in the publishing and film industries. In 2008 she founded the Text: van Laak agency in Potsdam. At the end of 2014, a branch was also set up in Berlin. Petra van Laak is a member of the “Women Entrepreneurship” initiative, which informs women about how to become self-employed and was launched in 2014 by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). She is married for the second time and lives in Berlin. In 2012 she was a guest of Sandra Maischberger and Frank Elstner .
