Petras Povilas Čėsna

Petras Povilas Čėsna (born February 20, 1945 in Raseiniai ) is a Lithuanian manager and politician.

Life

After graduating from the Raseiniai Middle School from 1959 to 1963, he studied at the Klaipėda Polytechnic from 1963 to 1965 and at the Kaliningrad Technical Institute from 1966 to 1972, and from 1973 to 1977 he graduated from the Vilniaus universitetas with a degree in industrial planning . From 1973 he was director of the Briedis combine in Klaipėda, from 1976 deputy director, from 1985 head of a department and member of the council in the Soviet-Lithuanian Ministry of Furniture , from 1992 general director of AB Medienos plaušas in Vilnius , from 1998 of AB Vilniaus baldų Kombatas , from 2004 to 2005 advisor to UAB "Baldora".

Since 2001 he has been a member of the Lietuvos socialdemokratų partija . From 2001 to 2004 he was the Minister of Economy of Lithuania and from 2005 to 2006 Minister of Transport in the Brazauskas II cabinet .
