The Petrowgletscher ( Kyrgyz мөңгүсү Петров ) is in Rajon Djeti-Ögüs in Issyk Kul Region in eastern Kyrgyzstan .
The glacier extends over the northern central part of the Ak-Schyirak mountain group in the interior of Tian Shan, which is up to 5126 m high . In the lower area it is oriented towards west-northwest. In the last few decades the lower end of the glacier retreated more and more (1957–2006 by about 1.6 km). In 1995 it was 12.3 km long and 69.8 km² in area. At its lower end of the glacier, it is 1.7 km wide. A lake at the edge of the glacier , the Petrowsee , has formed there.
The glacier bears the name of a topographer who took part in the 1869 expedition of Alexander Wassiljewitsch von Kaulbars to this region.
