Petrus Fullo
Peter the Fuller (? *, † 488 ) was a church leader of the Syrian - Monophysite Church. His nickname "Fullo" means "walker" and refers to an earlier activity as a cloth walker .
Petrus Fullo was - interrupted by the times of exile because of his opposition to the Council of Chalcedon - in the years 471, 476–477 and 485–488 patriarch of the Syrian metropolis Antioch . In his metropolis he introduced some liturgical innovations. The rule that the creed should be prayed at Mass also prevailed in the Church as a whole.
It is discussed whether he is the actual author of the writings handed down under the name Pseudo-Dionysius Areopagita . Regardless of this, the liturgical innovations he introduced are decisive for the dating of the Dionysian work.
