In the singles Alicia Molik won against Amy Frazier 6: 2, 4: 6 and 6: 4. In doubles, the pairing Cara Black / Jelena Lichowzewa won 7: 5 and 7: 6 1 against Barbara Schett / Patricia Wartusch .
