Petrus Seehausen

Petrus Seehausen (also Sehusen or Zehusen or Peter Seehausen ; * in Leipzig , † 1464 in Altenburg ) was a notary and cleric in the diocese of Merseburg . From the winter semester of 1422 he studied at the University of Leipzig . He obtained several academic degrees, his Baccalarius (1428), Magister (1438) and Decretorum baccalarius (1443). From 1443 to 1460 he was the rector of the Thomas School in Leipzig . In 1445 he became vice chancellor and from October 16, 1455 rector of Leipzig University. In 1456 he was dean , presumably of the law faculty where he was full professor. He belonged to Dietrich III's circle of friends . von Bocksdorf , the bishop of Naumburg. Seehausen also certified his first will.
