Petsch Moser is an indie rock band from Vienna , Austria . The group got its unusual name from the Swiss mogul slope skier Petsch Moser, who - as the band always asserts - has given his express consent to the use of his name. In 2005 the band was nominated for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award . With their piece Arguments (lalalalalalalala) the band took part in the protest song contest pre-finals 2010.

history

Petsch Moser was founded in 1995 in Lower Austria , but the band then moved to Vienna, which at that time offered good ground for the burgeoning indie rock scene. The Austrian youth broadcaster FM4 , which was founded this year and later played numerous songs by the group, played a not insignificant role in this . The songs are mostly in German, but some older ones are also in English. After Andreas Remenyi left in 2006, the five of them go on tour with Lukas Müller on keyboards and Martin Knobloch on bass.
