Rabia Peyveste Emuhvari (born May 10, 1873 in Pizunda , Abkhazia , Russian Empire , † 1944 in Paris ) was the tenth wife of the Ottoman sultan Abdülhamid II.

Peyveste was the daughter of Prince Osman-Bey Emuhvari and Princess Hesna Chaabalurchva. During the Caucasus War in 1877, her family emigrated to Istanbul , where she was placed at the Sultan's court and placed in the service of the Chief Chamberlain. Sultan Abdülhamid II fell in love with the beautiful Abkhazian princess with the light green eyes and long auburn hair and married her on January 24, 1893 in the Yıldız Palace . A year after their marriage, Peyveste gave birth to Prince Abdurrahim. Sultan Abdülhamid was so happy about the birth of his son that he had a small palace built for his young wife.

But Peyveste was unable to bind the sultan to himself; as early as the spring of 1896, the sultan turned to his new favorite Fatma Pesend , whom he also married shortly afterwards and made her 11th wife. Peyveste, disappointed in her husband, withdrew from court life and since then has only been concerned with raising her son.

During the Young Turks Revolution, Peyveste, who has since been declared Grand Duchess, accompanied her deposed husband into exile in Thessaloniki . A year later she returned to Istanbul with her son. In 1924 she went into a second exile and first lived with her son in Naples and Rome ; eventually she settled in Paris, where she died in 1944.

Grand Duchess Peyveste was buried in the Muslim cemetery of Bobigny near Paris.
