Rectory (Rachtig)
The Catholic vicarage in Rachtig , a district municipality Zeltingen-Rachtig in Bernkastel-Wittlich in Rhineland-Palatinate , was built 1725th The former rectory at Deutschherrenstrasse 25 and Pfarrstrasse 10 is a protected cultural monument .
The rectory is a two-storey, plastered quarry stone building with rectangular windows in stone walls and two gables hipped at the top . The lintel bears an inscription with the year 1725.
Hans Vogts wrote in 1935:
“Inside, room doors with beautiful wrought iron hinges and key plates. In an upper room a stucco ceiling with a central field surrounded by tendrils, chains of bell-flowers and laurel branches; in a lower room a stucco ceiling divided into two elongated rectangles by a girder, each with a central field and two acanthus tendrils .. "
The single-storey farm building, a former wine press house , from 1778 has a basket arched door .
