The parish church of Allerheiligen bei Wildon is the Roman Catholic parish church of the parish of Allerheiligen bei Wildon in Styria . It has formed a parish association with the parish of Heiligenkreuz am Waasen since 2007.

history

The parish church was founded in 1218 by the market warden from Herbersdorf in connection with Herbersdorf Castle. The present-day All Saints' Day developed from this. The former choir and the tower substructure with the portal of the Gothic church have been preserved from 1448. With Jesuit support, the church received a valuable institution. From 1717 to 1720 a new building was built with a north-south orientation.

description

The sacred building consists of a three-bay nave that merges into a 3/8 choir closure. Since 1920 there have been sloping flat ceilings on pilasters instead of the vaults . In the second yoke the Gothic church crosses the new building from 1717. The former choir forms the choir chapel to the east with a star rib vault and heraldic shields as rib consoles. In addition, two tracery windows and a small shoulder arch portal to the baroque sacristy have been preserved. The square tower or the former Gothic entrance area opens to the west through a pointed arch portal. The tower structure dates back to 1777 and has an onion helmet to top it off. In its south corner there is a cross passage with hatches on the first floor. The three-axis organ gallery rests on pillars.

On the high altar is a picture with the Assumption of the Virgin and All Saints Like the pulpit, it dates from the second quarter of the 18th century. Two side altars and the chapel altar are decorated with figures from the 18th century. The Stations of the Cross also come from this time. There are also two wood-carved Biedermeier chandeliers and the organ case from the same period. The epitaph of Franz von Herberstorff is placed in the parish church . It dates from the 16th century. Two tombstones can be seen in the interior: that of Amalie von Herberstorff (d. 1543) and that of the daughters of Bartlmä von Weißeneck, also from the 16th century.
