The parish church of Aschach an der Steyr is located in Aschach an der Steyr in the municipality of Aschach an der Steyr in Upper Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Martin belongs to the Deanery of Steyr in the Diocese of Linz . The church is a listed building .

history

A church was mentioned in a document in 1108. The choir from 1471 and the nave from 1513 were restored and expanded in 1892.

architecture

The single-nave three-bay nave and the two-bay choir with three-eighth end are partly vaulted with sinuous ribs. The three-axis, twice-broken west gallery is vaulted with mesh ribs. The west tower has a pyramid helmet from 1906. There are extensions from 1892 on both sides of the nave.

Furnishing

The furnishings are from the 19th and 20th centuries. There is a Gothic half-figure of Our Lady with Child from the beginning of the 16th century. Two baroque oil paintings Antonius and Leonhard around 1700 were painted in the manner of Johann Karl von Reslfeld .

There is an ornate bell from 1537.
