The Roman Catholic parish church Blindenmarkt is in the middle of Blindenmarkt in the line of the main street in the market town of Blindenmarkt in the Melk district in Lower Austria . The church consecrated to St. Anne belongs to the Deanery Ybbs in the diocese of St. Pölten . The church is a listed building .

history

Around 1300 a vicariate of St. Georgen am Ybbsfeld is mentioned in a document. Today's church was built around 1750/1755 following an existing late medieval chapel . The church was elevated to a parish church in 1785. 1983/1986 was a restoration.

architecture

The nave has a gable roof . The gable front with a shallow central projection and triangular gable between volute inlets under a roof turret with pilaster strips and a pyramid helmet looks towards the main street.

Furnishing

The high altar from 1835 has classical forms.

The original organ was built by the Mauracher brothers in 1948 , which was replaced in 2002 by an instrument from Orgelbau Vleugels .
