The Roman Catholic parish church of Bramberg am Wildkogel is located on the northern edge of the village of Bramberg in the municipality of Bramberg am Wildkogel in the Zell am See district in the state of Salzburg . The church consecrated to Saints Laurentius and Bartholomäus belongs to the dean's office in Stuhlfelden in the Archdiocese of Salzburg . The church building is a listed building .

history

A church was mentioned in a document in 1243. A medieval parish was accepted. The late Gothic church was built between 1505 and 1511. In 1741 the sacristy was rebuilt. From 1887 to 1889 a yoke was added to the nave in the west and the sacristy was raised. In 1929 and 1962 there were restorations.

architecture

The single-nave late Gothic wall pillar church with a north tower is surrounded by a cemetery.

Furnishing

The high altar from 1765 shows the high altar painting Martyrdom of St. Laurentius von Max Poosch (1938), the fragment of the former high altar picture on the same subject by the painter Johann Michael Kreuzer is in custody and was damaged in the fire in 1937 and the upper image Martyrdom of St. Bartholomäus by Johann Michael Kreuzer (1765).

The organ was built by Matthäus Mauracher (1892).
