The parish church of Dimbach , also called Maria am Grünen Anger , is located in the middle of the village in the market town of Dimbach in the Perg district in Upper Austria . The Roman Catholic parish and pilgrimage church , consecrated on the feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary , belongs to the Grein deanery in the Diocese of Linz . The church building is under monument protection ( list entry ).

history

A parish was mentioned in a document in 1140, which in 1147 went to the Säbnich monastery and later to the Waldhausen monastery, and was incorporated into the Waldhausen monastery until the end of the 18th century .

Furnishing

In the three-aisled, late Gothic hall building there is a baroque high altar with a life-size Madonna and Child, which is dated around 1450.

Another piece of equipment worth mentioning is a painting with the descent of the Holy Spirit .

The organ was named after Franz Xaver Müller , a son of the community.
