Parish church Eibesthal
The Roman Catholic parish church of Eibesthal is in the village of Eibesthal in the municipality of Mistelbach in the Mistelbach district in Lower Austria . It is subordinate to the patronage of the evangelist Markus and belongs to the dean's office Mistelbach-Pirawarth in the vicariate Unter dem Manhartsberg of the archdiocese of Vienna . The building is a listed building .
Location description
The parish church stands on a square extension in the center of Eibesthal.
history
Before 1250 a vicariate was founded in Eibesthal. In 1661 the church was officially elevated to a parish church and incorporated into the Barnabite monastery Mistelbach together with the parish church Mistelbach . The old parish church was destroyed during the Second World War. Between 1948 and 1951 a new building was built according to plans by Hans Plank and Jakob Fried .

The church is a mighty building under a high pitched roof . In the northwest corner is a tall, dominant bell tower. The northern nave front is structured by the church tower and the extensions. The porch between the bell tower and the sacristy extension consists of open arched arcades. On the north side of the tower is a balcony on consoles . A chapel annex adjoins the choir on the south side.

The nave and the just closed choir lie under a flat ceiling. The organ gallery is in the west. The stained glass window fittings come from Henrique de Arnoldi . The fresco “ Maria and Johannes ” is by Oskar Larsen .
Furnishing
On the free-standing high altar is a wooden crucifix .
