Band history

Epic Problem was founded in New Mills, Derbyshire in 2011. Neil "Mackie" McLennan (ex- Blitz ) and Jake McCullough, who had planned the band for a long time, but took a long time to find suitable collaborators, took the initiative . The first demo recordings were made together , until Anthony "Morry" Morrison joined the band as a permanent bassist and Greg Boulton was a permanent drummer. Various split releases , singles and mini albums appeared between 2011 and 2014 . The band also took part in the Oi! Compilation Oi! This is streetpunk! Volume Three and the Turbonegro - tribute album Omega Motherfuckers .

In 2015 the compilation '11 –'14 was released on the three independent labels Savage Amusement, Boss Tuneage and Pumpkin Records . It is the band's first release to be exclusively on CD rather than vinyl .

Music genre

Musically, Epic Problem is based on the early eighties punk and Oi! Scene. Influences include The Clash , Fugazi and Stiff Little Fingers , but also anarcho-punk bands like Conflict , Antisect or Crass or newer bands like Leatherface , Off With Their Heads! and Paint It Black .
