Geboltskirchen parish church
The Roman Catholic parish church of Geboltskirchen is located in Geboltskirchen in the municipality of Geboltskirchen in the Grieskirchen district in Upper Austria . The church, consecrated to St. Nicholas , belongs to the Gaspoltshofen deanery in the Linz diocese . The church and the cemetery are under monument protection .

architecture
The Gothic church building with nave and choir under a shared saddle roof has a two-bay, vaulted, ribbed nave. The south aisle around 1500 was vaulted after a fire in 1626. The two-bay rib vaulted choir has a five-eighth end . In the nave and choir, the late Gothic ornamental vault painting with apostolic crosses was exposed and restored in 1948 . A heavily damaged fresco Crucifixion from 1501 in the south aisle was restored in 1950. The slightly broken, irregular, four-axis west gallery over both aisles is arched by net ribs. The mighty west tower has an eight-sided pointed helmet. The Gothic south portal has a vaulted vestibule.
