William Gregory "Billy" Magnussen (born April 20, 1985 in Woodhaven , Queens , New York City ) is an American actor .

Life

Magnussen grew up in Wood Haven and later in Cumming , Georgia .

In 2007 Magnussen made his Broadway debut with a role in the play The Ritz . From 2008 to 2010 he played the character of Casey Hughes , who had previously been played by Zach Roerig , in the soap opera Young and Passionate - As Life So Plays in 199 episodes . At the same time, Magnussen received his first supporting roles in feature films.

In 2014 he was in the fantasy musical Into the Woods as Prince of Rapunzel . In 2015, he appeared as a mortgage broker together with Max Greenfield in the literary film adaptation The Big Short . In 2016 he took on the role of Kato Kaelin in the television series American Crime Story , the first season of which was about the criminal case against OJ Simpson .
