The first church building ("Church of the Gerbolds") was a so-called own church and was probably built from wood. Today's church building has a ribbed vault in the choir, built around 1490, the paintings date from 1500–1510. The gallery is placed on four bays, the ribs of which are made of tuff , whereby the fourth bay was built in the course of the annex chapel. In 1881 the pulpit was rebuilt and in 1882 a church tower clock was installed. In 1891 Geboltskirchen was raised to its own parish. See also: Edelsitz Geboltskirchen .
