		Catholic parish church hl. John the Baptist and Cemetery ObjectID :  58606	Market location KG: Hofkirchen	The church was mentioned in a document as early as 1379 and is dedicated to John the Baptist. Jakob Pawanger from Passau rebuilt the church from 1712 to 1716 and created a baroque room of remarkable beauty. The well-proportioned nave has a nave with three bays and retracted buttresses. The side chapels have galleries, above which are square vaults . The retracted one-bay choir has the shape of a segment of a circle, is Gothic in its core and also has a square vault. The west gallery rests on two bays with cross vaults. In 1754 the tower in the southern choir corner was expanded. The stucco decorations were applied between 1720 and 1730. The frescoes, signed 1754, are good work by Wolfgang Andreas Heindl . The imposing high altar, the side altars and the pulpit are from the first quarter of the 18th century.
