architecture

The late Gothic hall building has a south tower with a baroque crown. The choir with a polygonal ending was built in the fourth quarter of the 15th century. The simple nave was extended to the west in 1531. The church building has triangular pilasters and cornices on the outside. The south tower stands at the transition from the nave to the chancel, the bell storey is baroque and has round-arched sound windows coupled to the west and east, an octagonal structure follows over blown, curved gables, and above it an onion dome with a lantern. To the west of the tower is a baroque chapel extension to the nave from 1725 with arched windows. To the south of the apse is a circular window and a basket arch portal with a mosaic medallion from 1900.

The interior of the eight-bay nave shows a lancet barrel vault on late Gothic consoles, the Gothic vault ribs were probably removed in the first half of the 18th century. The nave has three pointed arch windows to the north and two to the south. The three-axis west gallery is arched under a late Gothic cross ridge on pointed arcades on octagonal pillars, the gallery was expanded in the 19th century. The triumphal arch is pointed and beveled. The one-yoke choir with a ribbed vault on a lowering closes with a five-eighth end . The choir was restored from 1955 to 1957 and the pointed arch windows exposed. The late Gothic sacristy portal is ogivally arched with a double-grooved profile with a reinforcement and has an iron plate door. The southern baroque side chapel is arched towards the nave, the one-bay side chapel with a three-sided closure has a barrel vault with stitch caps and a wall structure with pilasters with delicate stucco around 1725 with bundles of acanthus, fruits and flowers.

The late Gothic painting of the choir from 1500 was uncovered in 1955/1957 and shows the Annunciation, Last Supper and scenes from the life of St. Aegidius, the window frames show standing saints under painted canopies, the vault shows Christ, the Twelve Apostles and the busts of saints. On the nave walls there are paintings from the 16th and 17th centuries, some of them heavily fragmented or painted over with the Coronation of Mary and Last Judgment, Unbeliever Thomas, fragments of the Adoration of the Magi and the Crucifixion, the crucifixion is marked 1619. Joachim Mader (1741) painted baroque ceiling medallions depicting Hatting with Madonna and saints, the martyrdom of St. Kassian, Trinity, Mary and Joseph. There are remains of baroque frescoes in individual stitch caps.

Furnishing

The high altar was created by Luis Höfer (1958). The altar in the side chapel shows the image of Mariahilf and bears the statues of St. Joachim and Anna and in the excerpt the carved figure God the Father. The carved figure Pietà is from the first half of the 17th century. There are baroque statuettes of the four church fathers from the third quarter of the 18th century. A tombstone mentions 1781.

Franz Weber's organ was modified in 1870.
