Wolfgang Mutzeck

Wolfgang Mutzeck (born June 25, 1946 , † January 1, 2009 in Leipzig ) was a German educational scientist and university professor .

Live and act

Wolfgang Mutzeck studied at the University of Education in Kiel and at the University of Oldenburg . He then worked as a special school teacher and then as a lecturer at the University of Education in Kiel. In 1987 he was in Oldenburg with a thesis on theories of transfer of training content into everyday working life to Dr. phil. PhD . In 1990 he became a consultant for further training measures for special education teachers. In 1993 he completed his habilitation in Oldenburg and became professor for behavioral and learning disabled pedagogy at the educational science faculty of the University of Leipzig . There he headed the Institute for Special Education . He was responsible for the construction of a course " teaching at special schools " and for the in-service training of special education teachers in special education subjects. Other focal points of his practice-related work were cooperative advice on behavioral disorders, supervision , refusal to attend school , support planning and subjective theories .

Wolfgang Mutzeck died on January 1, 2009 in Leipzig after suffering from leukemia .

The Wolfgang Mutzeck School in Leipzig , which was opened in 2015 by the Leipzig Vocational Training Center , was named after him.
