Hinterthal parish church
The Hinterthal parish church is located in Hinterthal in the municipality of Maria Alm am Steinernen Meer in the Zell am See district in the province of Salzburg . The Roman Catholic parish church , consecrated to the patronage of the Trinity , belongs to the dean's office in Saalfelden in the archdiocese of Salzburg . The church building is under monument protection ( list entry ).
history
A wooden chapel was built in 1610. A brick church was built in 1678 and expanded in 1740. The church was elevated to a parish church in 1891. 1961 was a restoration.
architecture
The church is a simple baroque building with a roof turret. A cemetery adjoins the west of the church.
The simple exterior under a shingle roof with a surrounding base has a polygonal finish. The ridge with a tent roof is made of wood. The north-facing church building has a porch in the south the width of the nave. The sacristy is added to the north.
The interior of the nave is undivided under a flat ceiling with a stucco mirror. The south pore is made of wood.
Furnishing
The high altar from 1739 shows the altar sheet Coronation of Mary and in the essay the image of St. Joseph and carries the side panel figures of the weather saints Johannes and Paul and in the essay the saints Isidore and Notburga, all around 1740.
The Stations of the Cross as a wall painting was created by the painter Wilhelm Kaufmann (1961/1962).
