The parish church of Hof has been the Roman Catholic parish church of the municipality of Hof in the state of Salzburg since 1858 . The church belongs to the Deanery Thalgau . She is the St. Sebastian , the patronage will be celebrated on January 20th .

history

For the first time a church is mentioned as a branch church of Thalgau in 1502, the church itself was built by the citizens of Salzburg in 1515 in the Gothic style. In 1785 the pastoral office was raised to the Vicariate of Hof.

On 4 August 1859, the church burned down as a result of a lightning strike, it was rebuilt after 1862 and on October 12, 1878 consecrated .

Reinisch organ 1981

In 1581 an organ sounded for the first time in the church, which was replaced by a shelf in 1640 . In 1720 Johann Christoph Egedacher delivered a new instrument with three registers . After the church fire, Matthäus Mauracher d. Ä. a donated organ that came from one of the trumpet choirs of Salzburg Cathedral . This was replaced in 1981 by a new instrument from Dreher & Reinisch .
