history

The church was built in 1929 as a modern hall church according to the plans of the Linz cathedral builder Matthäus Schlager . The extensions from 1949 to 1951 with the vestibule, Marienkapelle and south tower were made according to the plans of the architect Josef Friedl . In 1958 the choir and sacristy were being built.

The parish was founded in 1932. In 1953 the bells were consecrated.

architecture

The exterior of the church shows an undivided church building with arched windows under a gable roof. The slightly higher rectangular choir has high concrete slit windows with transverse walls and glass tile sheets. On the left side, the south front forms the presented tower under a tent roof with a three-part flat bay window in the lower area and on the right side the two-storey vestibule with a simple wide rectangular portal and above it with a twin arched window. The Lady Chapel and the sacristy are attached to the side.

The interior of the church shows a hall under a flat ceiling, the walls are structured over a surrounding plinth with plaster strips. The organ gallery stands on chamfered rectangular supports. The elevated, recessed rectangular choir under a wooden beam ceiling has a strong, laterally guided light guide. The east-side rectangular Marienkapelle acts as a transept-like space extension.

The mural Holy Family on the choir wall was painted by Robert Herfert in 1961. In 1997 the church windows were designed by Carla Kamenik with the theme of the seven days of creation ; in 2004 she redesigned the chancel .

Furnishing

The high altar and the tabernacle altar were created by the sculptor Leopold Radax und Sohn around 1930. Above it is a statuette of the Risen Christ in baroque forms. The side altar in the Lady Chapel bears the statue of Maria Fatima by the sculptor Bortolotti in 1933.

The monumental mission cross on the choir wall is from 1963. A crucifix in medieval shapes from the middle of the 20th century hangs above the polygonal hanging pulpit. The console statues Herz Jesu, Antonius von Padua and Josef von Nazaret are from the first third of the 20th century. The painting Judas Thaddäus calls P.II.F. Rome. Jacobs 1943. The crossways reliefs are works by Kunibert Zinner 1975.

The organ was built by Orgelbau Pieringer in 2000.
