The parish church of Kirchdorf am Inn is located in the municipality of Kirchdorf am Inn in Upper Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary belongs to the Altheim dean's office in the Linz diocese . The church and the cemetery are under monument protection .

history

A church was mentioned in a document around 1170. The Gothic church building made of tuff was given a Baroque style . In 1900 a neo-Gothic chapel was added to the north of the church.

architecture

The single-nave three-bay nave has half-retracted buttresses and semicircular services. The slightly retracted two-bay choir has a three-eighth closure and the indication 1489 on the head of the choir. The ribs of the Gothic vaults were chipped off and later redisplayed. The west gallery on octagonal columns has a Gothic vault with chipped ribs. The mighty tower in the southern choir corner has been converted into an octagon at the top and has a pointed helmet. The Gothic south portal is dead and the door has Gothic fittings.

The cemetery wall has a wedge cover.

Furnishing

High altar

The high altar from the beginning of the 18th century bears the middle group of the Coronation of Mary. The rococo tabernacle was probably created by Johann Ferdinand Schwanthaler .

There are notable gravestones in the nave: Ernst 1567 and Sara von Schwarzenstein with relief crucifixion, Adolf and Margaretha von Schwarzenstein 1572 with four reliefs, Barbara Hertzheim 1611 with full relief figure, Maria Elisabeth von Taufkirchen born Schwarzenstein 1617 with architectural structure and relief of the Assumption. In the south porch are Gothic and Renaissance tombstones.
