The Roman Catholic parish church of Koblach stands on the hill above the village in the municipality of Koblach in the Feldkirch district in Vorarlberg . The parish church , consecrated to St. Kilian , belongs to the Rankweil deanery of the Feldkirch diocese . The church is a listed building .

The chapel dedicated to St. Rochus in Neuburg, the Rheinmahd chapel and the St. Assigned to Josef in the old people's home.

history

The church was a branch of the Kreuzlingen monastery and was elevated to a parish church in 1675. The previous church was expanded in 1658 and demolished before the new church was built (1905). The neo-baroque church was built with the pastor Johann Jakob Flatz in 1905 and the north tower from 1905 to 1907 according to the plans of the architect Albert Rimli .

architecture

The neo-baroque church building with choir, nave and transept has a stair tower and a curved facade gable. The interior of the church shows frescoes by Wolfram Köberl (1965).

Furnishing

On the altar wall is a copper relief of Christ with the twelve apostles, the canteen shows the Sermon on the Mount and on the left the sacrifice of Melchizedech and on the right the prodigal son, created by Willi Veith (1965).
