Catholic parish church hl. Oswald in Kogl

The Roman Catholic parish church Kogl is located in the village of Kogl in the Pilgersdorf community in the Oberpullendorf district in Burgenland . It is consecrated to St. Oswald and belongs to the dean's office in Oberpullendorf in the Eisenstadt diocese . The building is a listed building .

history

The church was first built as a chapel in 1752 and expanded in 1807. In 1789 the church was elevated to a parish church. Restoration took place in 1970.

The church is a hall building with an equally wide, semicircular choir. The west tower without decoration is built in front.

Church interior

Inside, the church consists of three narrow nave bays and a choir bay. In between is a pair of pilasters separated by a throat . The ship yokes and the choir yoke are square vaulted , the apse is vaulted.

Furnishing

The simple high altar was built at the end of the 18th century. The altarpiece shows St. Oswald. It is flanked by the two cartridges of cattle, Saint Wendelin and Saint Patrick . In the right throat between the yokes is a carved figure of St. Florian from the end of the 18th century.
