The Roman Catholic parish church Ottnang am Hausruck is in the village of Ottnang am Hausruck in the market town of Ottnang am Hausruck in the Vöcklabruck district in Upper Austria . The church consecrated to St. Stephen belongs to the Deanery of Schwanenstadt in the Diocese of Linz . The church is a listed building .

history

The choir and the tower substructure have been preserved from the late Gothic church . In 1706 the church was substantially rebuilt and expanded with the builder Carlo Antonio Carlone .

architecture

The late Gothic three-bay choir with a ribbed vault closes with a three-eighth closure. The nave has three aisles with three bays, the central nave is vaulted with a stab cap, and the aisle has a cross vault. The west gallery has a flat cross vault. The late Gothic west tower has a baroque onion helmet. The south portal and sacristy portal are late Gothic. There are three remarkable stained glass from 1494 in the choir.

Furnishing

The high altar from the end of the 17th century shows a remarkable painting Stoning of St. Stephen, painted by Anthoni Schoonjans at the end of the 17th century.
