The parish church of Reith im Alpbachtal is located in the municipality of Reith im Alpbachtal in the Kufstein district in the state of Tyrol . The patronage of St. The Roman Catholic parish church subordinate to Peter belongs to the deanery in Reith im Alpbachtal in the Archdiocese of Salzburg . The church and the war memorial are under monument protection ( list entry ).

history

A parish was mentioned in a document in 1187.

The current church was built from 1801 to 1805 according to the plans of the church builder Andreas Hueber .

architecture

The mighty classical hall building with the main front facing the street with a choir to the west is surrounded by a cemetery.

The vault painting with scenes from the life of Peter was created by the painter Joseph Schöpf in 1804.

Furnishing

The altar furnishings from the early 19th century were created by Anton Pichler with altar paintings by Joseph Schöpf, while the statues of the four church fathers on the side were created by Johann Högele.

There is a late Gothic carved figure of Seated Peter around 1490 attributed to Erasmus Grasser . The late Gothic font with tracery was built around 1500.

Karl Reinisch built the organ in 1930. Gregor Löffler names a bell in 1560.
