The nave sides of the hall building are four-axis with arched windows. The retracted choir has a polygonal ending. The east windows have two lanes with fish bubble tracery . The remaining windows were changed to pointed arch windows in 1969 . The mighty tower stands in the northern corner of the choir. The lower floors are Gothic , in 1863 it was raised. It has arched sound windows and a gable-pointed helmet. The sacristy connects to the west of the tower. A small vestibule was built in front of the west facade in 1970. The church interior is a large hall with a flat ceiling with a hollow and stucco cornices. The corners to the triumphal arch wall are rounded. The triumphal arch is a basket arch . The two-bay choir has a 3/8 end. On the north side there is a pointed arch opening, in the tower standing at an angle to the choir wall there is a round arch portal with a round bar . The late Gothic sacrament niche is framed by a stone wall with flat tracery .

In 1969 remains of frescoes from the 16th century were uncovered on the choir walls. On the northern wall of the choir in the western yoke there is a coat of arms with the inscription "Inscription .... Rivensperg, 16 .." and on the southern wall there is apostle cross . In the nave is a stucco-framed ceiling painting with “Assumption of Mary” by Georg Lacher from 1843.

Furnishing

The popular altar is kept simple. Right and left side altars with stucco marble superstructures were built around 1840. They form the framework: on the right for a baroque group of sculptures from the early 17th century depicting the “ Coronation of Mary ”. The pedestal from 1840 shows St. Sebastian , on the left side altar is a picture of the Assumption of Mary.

On the left is a 19th century pulpit. There is a relief on the basket showing the "Sermon of John the Baptist ". On the cover is a figure of St. Michael from the 17th century. On the south wall of the nave hangs a canvas painting from 1840 depicting the "Crucifixion of Christ". The Stations of the Cross were created in the middle of the 18th century. In the choir there is a lecture cross with medallions, crucifix and embossed fittings, some of which date from the 17th century. It was reassembled around 1970 using old parts. The reading desk from 1970 is from Robert Ritter. The organ was created by Anton Behmann in 1806.
