The narrow-leaved meadow rue or simple meadow rue ( Thalictrum simplex ) is a species of the genus meadow rue ( Thalictrum ) within the buttercup family (Ranunculaceae). It is widespread in Eurasia .
description
The narrow-leaved meadow rue is a summer green, perennial herbaceous plant that reaches heights of 30 to 10 centimeters. It has a creeping basic axis and is bare. The leaves are elongated in outline, double-pinnate with elongated or linear leaflets. The leaflets are 3 to 5 mm wide, dull, lobed or toothed on top. Populations in Germany always have at least a few entire leaflets.
The flowering period extends from late June to late July. The panicley contracted inflorescence is short branched. The flowers are initially nodding, then upright. The tepals are 3 mm long and yellowish. The stamens are usually greenish and overhanging.
The nuts are 2 mm long, egg-shaped, angularly ribbed and have an arrow-shaped scar .
ecology
The narrow-leaved meadow rue is placed with the geophytes by Rothmaler in terms of its life form in the excursion flora , the BIOLFLOR database by W.Durka assigns it to the hemicryptophytes .
The narrow-leaved meadow rue is pollinated by insects and wind . The diaspores can spread by means of wind and water . The vegetative reproduction is ensured by underground runners.
Occurrence
The narrow-leaved meadow rue is a Eurasian floral element . It is widespread in most areas of continental Europe, where it occurs less frequently in the west. Other areas of distribution include the Caucasus , western and eastern Siberia , Mongolia , China , Korea and Japan .
The narrow-leaved meadow rue inhabits limestone grasslands in Central Europe , semi- dry grasslands rich in shrubbery with swelling spots and flat moors in the low mountain ranges with limestone , in the Alpine foothills , in western and northern Switzerland and in Graubünden . It is absent in Upper Austria , in Austria it is only found in areas with limestone. The narrow-leaved meadow rue is very rare everywhere in Central Europe .
The narrow-leaved meadow rue thrives best on calcareous , alternately moist to alternately dry, low -nitrogen loam , loess or peat soils . It is a character species of the Molinion association, but also occurs in societies of the Mesobromion or Geranion sanguinei associations.
Systematics
The Thalictrum simplex was first published by Carl von Linné . The specific epithet simplex simply means
The following subspecies are described within the species Thalictrum simplex :
- Thalictrum simplex subsp. simplex , the leaflets of which the upper leaves are elongated, wedge-shaped, lobed or toothed. The chromosome number is 2n = 56.
- Thalictrum simplex subsp. bauhinii (Crantz) Tutin , the leaflets of the uppermost leaves are not wedge-shaped, linear-lanceolate, and not lobed and the leaflets of the lower leaves are lobed or dentate.
- Thalictrum simplex subsp. galioides (Nestl.) Borza , the leaflets of which the upper and lower leaves are undivided, narrow-lanceolate to thread-like and 10– to 20 times as long as they are wide. The chromosome number is 2n = 28.
- The only in France found Thalictrum simplex subsp. gallicum Tutin has an egg-shaped, flaccid flower cluster.
In Germany the Thalictrum simplex subsp. simplex before.
